The NC Council of Community Programs is governed by a 20 Member Board consisting of an equal number of citizen area board members and professional area directors.
The Board does the following:
- Formulate broad policy directions on issues affecting the future of area programs and the Council.
- Organize, process and communicate common positions and actions among member programs.
- Establish a single voice of area programs on State-wide policy issues.
The Council Board meets on a monthly basis. Each January the Council Board meets to further assess the issues affecting the future of area programs and sets its strategic goals for the coming year.
